Infant Car Seats

Baby’s First Ride

When you bring your newborn home from the hospital, her first ride will be in a car seat (by law in many locations!), not on your lap. You’ll want to have an infant car seat selected before that moment – don’t rush to a store and pick up the first one you come across – and you’ll need to know the difference between an infant car seat and a toddler car seat. You might get your infant car seat as part of a stroller or a travel system, but you will replace it once your baby outgrows it, when she weighs more than 30 pounds.
